Today we bring that same care online, with quality footwear, everyday apparel and solid wood furniture made to order.
Rooted on Main Street
From our shop at 40 Main St in Clinton, we’ve spent years re-soling, widening and restoring shoes our customers thought were done for. That hands-on know-how guides everything we sell: we look at how a sole is attached, how leather is finished and how a garment is sewn before it earns a place in the shop.
That same instinct is why we added furniture. A shop full of boots needs benches, shelves and racks that can take daily use — and the pieces that held up best were always solid hardwood. So we built a second aisle around them.

How our wood furniture is made
Each table, console and shelf is built after you order it. Slabs are selected for grain and stability, shaped and joined, then sanded and finished by hand with natural oils or a hard-wax finish. Because every board is different, your piece will carry its own grain, knots and color while matching the design and size you chose.
When it’s ready, smaller pieces ship by parcel and larger ones travel by freight — the carrier calls ahead to schedule delivery. Read more in our Journal and the FAQ.
